Achieving therapeutic goals through dance!
Dual Therapy’s Functional Dance Classes are led by a Registered Occupational Therapist and a Registered Physiotherapist, both with extensive backgrounds in pediatric therapy and dance. This unique 6-week program is designed to help children work toward individualized therapeutic goals—whether physical, social, or emotional—through creative movement and dance in a fun, inclusive group setting.
At the start of the program, parents will collaborate with the therapists to identify specific goals for their child. Each class begins with an interactive activity and a dynamic warm-up to help students explore body awareness and movement. The sessions are designed to target key developmental areas such as balance, strength, coordination, motor planning, executive functioning, flexibility, attention, and social interaction.
Throughout the program, students will also learn a choreographed dance routine that integrates the skills they are building each week. The session culminates in a final performance, giving participants the opportunity to showcase their progress and celebrate their achievements.
